Rodrigo Santa María is a Chilean composer and instrumentalist whose roots can be found in South American music throughout its diversity and color. He has immersed himself in styles ranging from Brazilian bossa nova to Argentinian samba and chacarera, on the east coast of South America, and from the Peruvian Landau and altiplanic rhythms to the folk-rooted Chilean songs on the west coast.
Upon his training as a modern musician, he has merged folkloric and academic elements as part of a new movement of Chilean musicians who aim to integrate both worlds into a single creation.
He currently resides in Berlin where he promotes his latest album, "Sobras Completas" (2010), "Élitro"(2012) and "Todo o Nada"(2016)
